In the same context, a demonstration in support of Venezuela was also held in Kathmandu.<br \/>\nOrganized by the United Student<\/p>\n<p>Organization, protesters gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in Maharajgunj and strongly opposed American intervention. According to the protesters, demonstrations against the United States have taken place in several Latin American countries including Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Argentina; European countries such as Spain, France, and Germany; Middle Eastern countries including Iran and Lebanon; and Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, China, and the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that in those countries, students, civil society organizations, and leftist groups have taken to the streets, condemning U.S. military intervention as a violation of international law.<br \/>\nSpeaking at the Kathmandu protest, United Student Organization leader <strong>Narendra C<\/strong> expressed serious objection to claims that the United States abducted Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and his wife and took them to the U.S., where action was allegedly taken against them on charges of drug trafficking and supporting international terrorism. Protesters described these actions as a blatant interference in the sovereignty of an independent nation.<\/p>\n<p>During the demonstration, participants emphasized that Venezuela\u2019s political problems should be resolved through dialogue and consensus among its political forces, not through external military intervention. Protesters displayed placards and banners while chanting slogans such as \u201cDown with American Imperialism\u201d and \u201cProtect Venezuela\u2019s Sovereignty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although security was tightened around the U.S. Embassy, police reported that the protest concluded peacefully.
